Name: Alicia Hunsaker
Hometown: Kirksville, MO
Major: Exercise Science, Pre-Occupational Therapy with Minors in Psychology and Disability Studies
Favorite Style of Dance: Ballet
When I’m Not Dancing: I can often be found teaching K-12 children’s dance classes, teaching various fitness classes at the Student Recreation Center, and spending time with my sorority sisters and First Baptist Church-Kirksville College Group.
Biggest Inspiration: People with the courage to live without comprising their values.
Why I chose Truman: I chose Truman because of the Exercise Science program and its ability to prepare me for occupational therapy school. I love the campus size, sense of community, and all the opportunities to be involved!
Favorite Memory on this Team: My favorite part about being on this team is that something amazing will happen everyday, from a dance accomplishment to finding something out about someone. There is not one thing I can say was my favorite, my favorite part of it all was being able to learn new things daily from people who I can now call some of my closest friends.
Interesting Fact: I’ve run two half-marathons and one triathlon.
Favorite Quote: “Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.”-Francis Chan
What are you Looking Forward to Most this Season: Joining a quality dance team with members who share my love and passion for dance and who are willing to spend hours working hard to execute a polished, professional performance.
